LG Electronics present its new AI Cabin Platform at CES 2026, built to operate on high-performance automotive computing systems powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Elite. The platform uses generative AI models, including vision-language, large language, and image generation models, to enhance in-vehicle infotainment and support context-aware interactions.

All AI processing is performed within the vehicle, reducing reliance on external servers. This on-device approach supports real-time responses and addresses privacy considerations by limiting cloud data exposure. The system evaluates driving conditions and driver behavior using internal and external cameras, enabling tailored alerts and guidance. It can notify the driver of nearby vehicle movements or provide assistance when attention appears diverted.

The platform can also create adaptive infotainment interfaces. For instance, it may generate visual themes that match environmental conditions and offer content suggestions aligned with the moment. LG previously collaborated with Qualcomm to introduce the HPC platform at CES 2025, which combined infotainment and driver assistance capabilities into one controller based on the Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC.

LG states that it intends to continue exploring mobility technologies that support evolving vehicle architectures shaped by AI-driven features.
