Meta announced new nuclear energy agreements aimed at supporting AI infrastructure and grid reliability in the United States. The projects are expected to unlock up to 6.6 gigawatts of clean and firm power by 2035.

Meta has signed agreements with Vistra, TerraPower and Oklo, building on a prior agreement with Constellation Energy. These arrangements support both existing nuclear plants and new advanced reactor development.

Through Vistra, Meta will help extend operations and increase output at the Perry and Davis-Besse plants in Ohio and the Beaver Valley plant in Pennsylvania. With TerraPower, Meta is supporting up to eight Natrium reactor units, providing potential access to 2.8 GW of baseload power plus storage. The Oklo partnership focuses on developing a new nuclear campus in Ohio that could deliver up to 1.2 GW.

The projects are expected to create thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of long term roles while supplying electricity to grids that support Meta’s data centers including its Ohio operations.
