Apple has announced iPhone 17e, a more affordable addition to the iPhone 17 lineup, featuring upgraded performance, enhanced durability and expanded storage starting at 256GB.
Performance and Connectivity
iPhone 17e is powered by the A19 chip built on 3 nanometer technology, with a 6 core CPU, 4 core GPU and 16 core Neural Engine. It also introduces C1X, Apple’s latest cellular modem, delivering up to 2x faster speeds than C1 in iPhone 16e and improved energy efficiency.
Display and Design
The device features a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Ceramic Shield 2 offering improved scratch resistance. It includes aerospace grade aluminum construction, IP68 rating and Face ID. An Action button enables quick access to key features.
Camera System
A 48MP Fusion camera supports 24MP default capture and optical quality 2x Telephoto. It records 4K Dolby Vision video up to 60 fps and supports Spatial Audio and advanced Audio Mix editing.
Charging and MagSafe
iPhone 17e supports USB C fast charging up to 50 percent in about 30 minutes and MagSafe with Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W.
Satellite and Safety
Satellite features include Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages and Find My via satellite. Crash Detection is also supported.
Software and Sustainability
It runs iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence features such as Live Translation and Call Screening. The device contains 30 percent recycled materials and uses renewable electricity in manufacturing.
Pricing and Availability
iPhone 17e starts at INR 64900 for 256GB. Pre orders begin March 4 with availability from March 11 in over 70 countries.
