Apple has announced the Apple Watch Ultra 3, which introduces satellite communication, a larger screen, longer battery life, and new health features. The watch now allows users to send emergency texts, share locations, and stay connected when outside cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. It offers up to 42 hours of battery life with an option to extend to 72 hours in Low Power Mode.

A major addition is the ability to detect signs of chronic high blood pressure through hypertension notifications which are under regulatory review. A new sleep score feature helps users assess and improve sleep quality. Updates to the Workout app include Workout Buddy, which provides real-time motivation based on fitness data.

The watch uses new display technology for better readability and efficiency, supports 5G connectivity and includes enhanced GPS accuracy. It comes in natural and black titanium with updated band options. Apple has also emphasized sustainability with recycled materials and renewable energy in production. Pre-orders have begun and availability starts on September 19 across multiple regions.
