ASUS has launched the TUF Gaming BE9400, a WiFi 7 router that supports tri-band throughput of up to 9400 Mbps across 2,500 square feet. It comes with three 2.5G LAN ports and one 2.5G WAN port, along with 320MHz channels, 4096-QAM and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for better speed and efficiency.
The router includes features for gaming such as a dedicated gaming port, Mobile Game Mode, and OpenNAT to prioritize traffic. It also supports USB 4G/5G mobile tethering for backup connectivity. With MLO, devices can use 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands together or separately to improve stability and reduce lag, making it suitable for gaming, streaming and smart home devices.
For security and management, the ASUS Router app allows setup of separate SSIDs for IoT, kids, VPNs and MLO networks. It supports up to 30 VPN clients with protocols like WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPSec. AiProtection and Safe Browsing provide added security. The router also works with WiFi 7 AiMesh for whole-home coverage and is designed to meet TUF standards for durability.
