Bharti Enterprises, along with global private equity firm Warburg Pincus, has signed an agreement to acquire a combined 49 percent stake in Haier India. After the transaction, Haier Group will continue to hold 49 percent of the business, while the remaining 2 percent will be owned by the Indian management team. While the companies have not shared financial terms publicly, media reports suggest the deal values Haier India at around ₹15,000 crore, or close to $2 billion.

Haier India operates manufacturing facilities in Pune and Greater Noida, and offers products across categories such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, and kitchen appliances. The revised ownership structure brings together Bharti’s understanding of the domestic market, Haier’s manufacturing and product expertise, and Warburg Pincus’ experience in scaling consumer businesses globally.
