Bosch has launched the Bosch Optical Gas Spectrometer (BOGS), an innovative gas analyzer based on Raman spectroscopy designed to deliver rapid and highly accurate gas measurements for industrial and research applications. By refining Raman signal detection, Bosch has enhanced the system’s sensitivity by a factor of 100, enabling the BOGS to achieve an accuracy of 0.1% by volume within seconds and detect concentrations as low as 0.01% with extended measuring times.
The device measures gases such as hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, methane, and water vapor without requiring carrier gases or complex sample extraction. It supports inline operation at temperatures up to 35°C (and up to 40°C depending on the environment) and pressures up to 40 bar, making it suitable for demanding industrial conditions.
Compact and user-friendly, the BOGS features a 19-inch housing for portability, simplified installation and calibration, and an integrated Raman spectra database for easy data analysis. Its precision and adaptability make it ideal for use in hydrogen and natural gas sectors, as well as in research and development environments. Now available for order, the Bosch Optical Gas Spectrometer underscores Bosch’s commitment to advancing analytical technologies that enable efficiency and innovation across industries.
