Hyundai Appoints Brad Arnold as Chief Designer, Head of Design North America

Hyundai Names Brad Arnold to Lead Design Operations in North America

Hyundai Motor Company has appointed Bradley J. Arnold as Chief Designer and Head of Hyundai Design North America, based in Irvine, California.

In this role, he will lead vehicle and concept design across the region, supporting Hyundai’s focus on customer-centric and design-led product development.

Arnold brings over 18 years of experience in automotive design. He previously served as interim design head at Hyundai Design North America in 2025, where he led the development of production and concept vehicles. He also contributed to Hyundai’s XRT off-road strategy, developed at the California design studio known as ‘The Sandbox’.

His recent work includes contributions to models such as the Hyundai Palisade facelift and Hyundai Santa Cruz, along with earlier involvement in the Genesis GV80 Concept.

Arnold has also worked with General Motors, contributing to concept vehicles including Cadillac and Chevrolet models. He first joined Hyundai in 2008 and rejoined in 2016.
