Canon has been included in the 2025 Climate A List by CDP, recognizing its leadership in climate action and transparency. This is the fourth time Canon has earned a place on the Climate A List.

CDP evaluates companies worldwide based on disclosures related to climate action water management and environmental performance. In 2025, nearly 20,000 companies were scored from over 22,000 that reported through CDP’s platform.

Canon follows its kyosei philosophy by balancing business growth with environmental responsibility. The company focuses on four priority areas climate change resource efficiency chemical substances and biodiversity. Canon has set a long-term goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its full value chain by 2050.

To support this goal, Canon has also established science-based targets. By 2030, it aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% and Scope 3 emissions by 25% compared to 2022 levels. These efforts are supported by energy-saving initiatives at production sites and stronger reuse and recycling practices across product lifecycles.
