Carrier Japan’s air-cooled modular chiller and heat pump series, Universal Smart X (USX), has been included in the EXPO 2025 Special Edition of the Green Technology Book published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The recognition was presented at EXPO 2025 Osaka and highlights more than 200 energy-focused technologies from the Asia Pacific region that contribute to sustainable development. Carrier Japan operates under Carrier Global Corporation, known for its climate and energy solutions.
Toru Kubo, President of Carrier Japan, noted that the acknowledgment demonstrates the relevance of the USX series as a practical solution for both customer needs and environmental considerations. The company maintains a focus on innovating purposefully and supporting long-term sustainability goals.

The USX series has previously received recognition in Japan for its design, performance and application in sectors such as data centers, industrial facilities and commercial buildings. Models like the USX EDGE 32 and USX FIT have earned industry awards for contributions to energy management and system efficiency. The inclusion in the Green Technology Book aligns with Carrier Japan’s commitment to advancing responsible energy technologies.
