Daikin Industries has signed an MOU with the Government of Senegal, the Senegal-Japan Vocational Training Centre and partners including JICA, Toyota Tsusho, NEC, Toda Corporation and Yamaha Motor. The agreement aims to strengthen skill development and support Senegal’s growing need for industrial talent.

Starting in 2026, Daikin will provide training programs at CFPT-SJ focusing on after-sales service personnel in the air conditioning sector. The initiative responds to increasing demand in Senegal for a technically skilled workforce that meets evolving industry standards.

Established in 1984 with support from JICA, CFPT-SJ has become a key vocational training center in Senegal and across West Africa. With this MOU the facility will continue to play a central role in preparing skilled workers to meet local and regional industrial needs.

Daikin’s involvement reflects its broader approach of working with educational institutions worldwide to develop human resources and support the advancement of the HVAC sector.
