Electrolux Group has opened the Gralha Azul Industrial Complex in São José dos Pinhais, Brazil on August 22. This is the company’s largest industrial expansion in Latin America and was completed in 17 months. The site is designed with sustainability in mind and is working toward LEED GOLD certification for responsible construction.
Production will begin with wellbeing products such as fans and blenders, with additional lines like pressure washers and water purifiers to be added in the future. The factory expands Electrolux’s portfolio in the region and strengthens its local presence.
Diversity and inclusion are also a focus, with women making up 65% of the workforce. Around 90% of employees are local hires from São José dos Pinhais and nearby areas. This approach highlights the company’s aim to combine innovation with social and environmental responsibility.
The Gralha Azul site represents a significant milestone for Electrolux in Latin America, bringing together sustainable practices, expanded production capacity and inclusive employment opportunities.
