Hitachi High-Tech Corporation and ELITechGroup have entered a Collaboration, Manufacturing, and Supply Agreement to advance fully automated molecular testing for infectious diseases. Leveraging Hitachi High-Tech’s expertise in photometric analysis and automation and ELITech’s strength in PCR testing systems and reagents for the European market, the partnership aims to develop a flexible PCR platform that enhances operational efficiency in microbiology and virology laboratories, supporting early detection of viruses and bacteria and contributing to improved patient care.

The system, featuring continuous sample and reagent loading, random-access capabilities, and fully automated functions from sample preparation to measurement, will be exhibited in Japan as LABOSPECT GA-5 at the JACLaS EXPO 2025 in Yokohama. The collaboration also incorporates technologies from Precision System Science Co., Ltd., further strengthening the platform’s capabilities.

This partnership aligns with Hitachi High-Tech’s mission to support personalized medical care through “Diagnosis x Therapy x Digital,” offering Lumada solutions and digitalized assets to enhance healthcare outcomes. Both companies aim to foster long-term innovation in infectious disease testing, contributing to safer, more efficient laboratory operations and supporting global healthcare advancement.

Hitachi High-Tech provides advanced healthcare, semiconductor, and analytical technologies worldwide, while ELITechGroup develops and markets in-vitro diagnostic products and solutions globally, serving over 100 countries.
