Facebook has introduced several updates across its Feed, navigation, search, and profile features aimed at making the platform easier to use. The Feed now displays multiple photos in a standardized grid, allows double-tap likes, and offers a fullscreen view for posts. Navigation is being reorganized so commonly used sections such as Reels, Friends, Marketplace, and Profile are placed more prominently on the tab bar. The menu and notifications have also been adjusted to provide a cleaner experience.
Search results will present content in a grid layout that supports photos, videos, and various post types. A new full-screen viewer is being tested to let users browse search results without losing their place. Facebook is also expanding options that allow users to give feedback on posts and shape their Feed preferences.
Content creation tools for Stories and Feed posts have been redesigned, bringing key features like music and tagging to more accessible positions. Commenting across Feed, Groups, and Reels now includes simplified threads, clearer badging, and options for anonymous reporting.
Profile updates will highlight friends with similar interests, supporting connections around shared hobbies, travel plans, or topics. Facebook says these changes are part of ongoing efforts to reduce clutter and improve usability going into 2026.
