Foxconn will invest Rs 15,000 crore in Tamil Nadu

Foxconn confirmed a Rs 15,000 crore investment in Tamil Nadu after a meeting with CM M K Stalin. The company’s India representative Robert Wu attended the discussions with the industries minister and senior officials. The state will set up a Foxconn Desk at Guidance Tamil Nadu to fast track coordination and clearances. The plan targets around 14,000 engineering jobs across phases. Focus areas include value added manufacturing R&D integration AI led operations and battery technologies. Foxconn already assembles iPhones in Sriperumbudur which gives the plan an existing base. The investment may complement ongoing projects such as display modules and related components in Oragadam
