Garmin has announced the quatix 8 Pro, a premium nautical smartwatch built for mariners who need reliable connectivity and control on the water. The new smartwatch features built in inReach technology that enables two way satellite messaging cellular calling and SOS alerts even without a smartphone connection.
Designed specifically for boating, the enhanced boat mode brings key marine apps like autopilot and trolling motor controls to the forefront while on the water and automatically hides them when users are ashore. This makes switching between boating and everyday use simple and intuitive.
The quatix 8 Pro comes in a 47mm case with a bright 1.4 inch AMOLED display, titanium bezel and scratch resistant sapphire lens. It supports offshore use up to 50 miles, offers weather updates, LiveTrack sharing and access to Garmin Response for emergency coordination.
Beyond marine features, the smartwatch includes 24/7 health tracking, more than 100 activity modes, navigation tools and contactless payments. Battery life lasts up to 15 days in smartwatch mode, making it suitable for extended trips.
The quatix 8 Pro will be available from January 16, 2026 with a suggested retail price of $1,299.99.
