GE HealthCare is hiring a Staff Data Scientist – NLP to support Digital SaaS solutions in Women’s Health and X ray. This role focuses on building and deploying NLP and machine learning solutions using large and complex data sets. The role works closely with product software and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather data and analytics requirements from customers
• Build validate and deploy NLP and machine learning models
• Work with software engineers to convert models into products
• Perform exploratory and targeted data analysis
• Support data quality assessment and data preparation
• Develop analytics for predictive and prescriptive use cases
• Document methods code and results clearly
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM field
• Master’s or PhD is an advantage
• 6+ years of experience in AI or data science product development
• Strong experience in natural language processing
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow PyTorch and Hugging Face
• Experience with text processing techniques like NER parsing and tokenization
• Experience working with LLMs embeddings and transformer models
• Experience deploying models into production systems
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

Good to Have:

• Experience with clinical or medical text
• Experience in healthcare or medical device products
• Experience with RAG or agent based systems
• Background in medical imaging AI or automation systems
