GE Vernova has completed the sale of its Proficy software business to TPG for $600 million.

With this transaction, Proficy becomes an independent software company serving more than 20,000 customers across discrete, process and hybrid manufacturing, along with metro transit and infrastructure sectors. Its portfolio includes cloud based and on premises HMI and SCADA systems, MES, industrial data management and analytics solutions. These tools support operations from equipment level to full enterprise systems.

TPG now owns and controls Proficy. GE Vernova will continue focusing on software that supports electrification and decarbonization of the energy ecosystem. Its strategy centers on GridOS, the company’s enterprise software and AI platform designed for grid orchestration.

The company noted that forward looking statements in the announcement are subject to risks and uncertainties. Actual results may differ based on factors outlined in its filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
