Google is helping small and medium-sized businesses in Los Angeles recover from the January wildfires by providing over $4.5 million in funding. The support is being directed through the Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity and TMC Community Capital. These businesses play a key role in the city’s economy and culture and the assistance aims to help them not only recover but also prepare for future challenges.
As part of this effort Google organized the Rebuild LA: Small Business Tech Fair. The event introduced local entrepreneurs to AI tools and digital skills training to help them reconnect with customers and improve operations.
This initiative is included in a broader $15 million commitment from Google, YouTube, and Google.org to organizations working on relief in the greater Los Angeles area. The funding builds on earlier efforts to support local communities, including students, teachers and creative professionals, highlighting the focus on long-term recovery and sustainable growth.
