Google is investing an additional $9 billion in Oklahoma over the next two years to enhance its cloud and AI infrastructure. This funding will support the construction of a new data center campus in Stillwater and expand the existing facility in Pryor. These projects are intended to boost both the state’s and America’s leadership in artificial intelligence.
In addition to infrastructure Google is also focusing on workforce development and education. The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University are part of a new AI for Education Accelerator giving students free access to Google Career Certificates and AI training.
A partnership with the electrical training ALLIANCE aims to significantly increase the number of skilled electricians in the state, helping to build the necessary labor force for new energy and technology infrastructure. These initiatives are designed to equip Oklahoma’s students and workers with key skills for future jobs.
