HARMAN has announced that its Ready Display product is the first to receive HDR10+ Automotive certification, developed by HDR10+ Technologies LLC in collaboration with Samsung and Panasonic. This certification defines how high dynamic range (HDR) content should be experienced in vehicles, ensuring displays deliver consistent brightness, contrast, and color accuracy under varying lighting conditions. The Ready Display lineup featuring the NQ3, NQ5, and NQ7 series—uses Samsung’s Neo QLED technology and intelligent image algorithms to adapt visuals in real time, maintaining clarity and visual depth whether driving in daylight or at night.
The certification validates the displays’ ability to reproduce HDR content with fidelity, including HDR10+ “Adaptive” features that adjust to ambient light for a stable viewing experience. For automakers, this provides a verified benchmark for in-cabin display quality and differentiation. For consumers, it enhances visual comfort and usability during driving, entertainment, and navigation.
HARMAN’s achievement aligns with its goal of delivering high-quality, connected in-cabin experiences. Beyond entertainment, the technology supports safety and comfort by enabling adaptive visual performance that responds intelligently to environmental changes. HARMAN continues to advance its automotive technology portfolio as part of its mission to enhance mobility experiences.
