Hitachi has announced plans to integrate its U.S. subsidiaries GlobalLogic and Hitachi Digital Services. The move is aimed at strengthening Hitachi’s digital services portfolio and accelerating the global expansion of Lumada 3.0, its strategic digital transformation initiative.
The operational integration is expected to begin in April 2026 and will be led by Srini Shankar President and CEO of GlobalLogic. The combined organization will offer end to end digital transformation capabilities spanning strategy design software development cloud modernization and managed operations with a stronger focus on integrating AI into mission critical systems.
By bringing together GlobalLogic’s expertise in product strategy software engineering and AI with Hitachi Digital Services’ strengths in cloud reliability engineering and operations the new setup will support scalable and resilient digital solutions. Key focus industries include mobility energy and industrial sectors.
The integration will also support the creation of a unified AI Factory by combining platforms such as GlobalLogic’s VelocityAI and Hitachi Digital Services’ HARC. This initiative aligns with Hitachi’s Inspire 2027 management plan and its broader Social Innovation goals aimed at delivering value for clients and society.
