OpenAI Appoints Kiran Mani to Lead Asia-Pacific Growth
Kiran Mani has been appointed Managing Director APAC at OpenAI. In this role, he will lead regional expansion, strategic partnerships and market development across the Asia-Pacific region.
He joins from JioStar where he served as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing platforms such as JioHotstar and Cricinfo and leading the merger of Viacom18 with Star India to build a large media and entertainment network in India.
Prior to that, he spent more than 13 years at Google, holding leadership roles including General Manager for Android and Google Play in APAC and Japan, as well as Managing Director for US Retail.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Microsoft, IBM and Ogilvy, building experience across technology, media and global business strategy.
