Lenovo’s manufacturing site in Monterrey, Mexico, has been recognized by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as part of its Global Lighthouse Network, a community of manufacturing leaders in Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies. This marks Lenovo’s second site in the network, following its Hefei, China, plant recognized in January 2023.
Established in 2008, the Monterrey factory is one of Lenovo’s most advanced smart manufacturing facilities and includes a co-located development lab for faster collaboration between product design and production.
Key innovations include AI-driven supplier planning, AI-powered transportation optimization, and a digital twin-enabled supply chain control tower. These solutions enhance efficiency, resilience, and sustainability while reducing disruptions.
Lenovo’s recognition underscores its mission to bring “Smarter AI for All” and its leadership in sustainable, AI-enabled manufacturing. Globally, Lenovo operates over 30 manufacturing sites and ranks #8 in Gartner’s Top 25 Supply Chains.
