LG Display has received two CES 2026 Innovation Awards for its new Dual View OLED and Under Display Camera-infrared (UDC-IR) OLED technologies. Both were recognized in the In-Vehicle Entertainment category for offering new approaches to space use, image quality and integrated safety features in car displays.
Dual View OLED is the first automotive display that can show different content based on viewing position. A driver can follow navigation while the passenger watches other media on the same screen. When placed between rear seats, each passenger can view separate content at the same time. Its pixel structure ensures that touch actions on the driver’s side do not disrupt the passenger’s section. The display also uses a Tandem OLED structure that supports clear image quality and stable operation in temperatures from –40°C to 85°C.
The UDC-IR OLED, developed with LG Innotek, is the first full-screen automotive display that hides an in-screen driver-monitoring camera. Algorithms make the camera area invisible from the driver’s viewpoint while allowing accurate infrared monitoring. This aligns with rising requirements for driver-monitoring systems.
LG Display plans to showcase these technologies at CES 2026, along with new large OLED products for automotive partners.
