LG Electronics has recreated its classic 1960s D-301 electric fan as the limited-edition Heritage Fan, blending its original design with modern technology. The D-301 first made by Goldstar in the late 1950s was Korea’s first domestically produced electric fan and became a symbol of modern living. It marked an important step in the country’s home appliance industry and helped introduce Korean electronics to global markets.

For the revival LG located original D-301 units still owned by long-time customers and used them as references to match the look and feel of the original. The Heritage Fan retains the curved frame, analog dial, and engraved Goldstar logo but now features a high-efficiency BLDC motor, quiet operation, and a rechargeable battery offering up to 10 hours of cordless use.

While it is not for sale, the fan has drawn attention online for its retro appearance and practical updates.
