LG Electronics will present a new range of AI-powered laundry appliances at IFA 2025, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability for European households.
The highlight is the LG HeatPump WasherDryer, also known as the LG WashCombo, which combines washing and drying functions in one unit. The updated model maintains Europe’s Energy Class A rating for full-cycle performance and uses DUAL Inverter HeatPump technology with low-GWP refrigerants like R290. Its design allows space-saving installation while AI-powered fabric care adapts to different clothing types.
The lineup also includes washing machines with a Microplastic Care Cycle that can reduce microplastic release from synthetic fabrics by up to 60 percent. AI motion control improves efficiency and helps protect delicate textiles. Using AI DD and AI Wash the machines detect load weight and fabric to optimize wash cycles.
LG’s dryers also meet Energy Class A standards, using AI Dual Inverter technology and AI Dry to adjust drying speed based on fabric type, weight and humidity. For added convenience, LG offers self-installation support through the ThinQ app and a Comfort Kit designed for the 24-inch European range.
