LG Electronics has introduced its new AI platform ThinQ AI at IFA 2025 in Berlin. The platform combines ThinQ UP and ThinQ Care to deliver personalized experiences and proactive appliance management. ThinQ AI uses data and artificial intelligence to optimize appliance performance, provide upgrades through software, and predict potential issues before they occur.
Appliances with ThinQ UP can gain new functions over time through updates, while ThinQ Care offers smart diagnostics to help prevent malfunctions. Features focused on convenience and energy efficiency include Energy Saving Mode for washing machines, AI Saving Mode for refrigerators, and tools such as Fresh Keeper to avoid wrinkled clothes and Night View to adjust refrigerator displays at night.
LG is also enabling customer participation through the ThinQ app, where users can suggest new features that may be developed into updates. ThinQ AI will begin rolling out in European markets in September before expanding globally later this year. At IFA 2025 LG is showcasing its AI-driven appliances and interactive demonstrations designed for the European market.
