Microsoft has announced new AI focused programs and tools to support educators, students and education systems in an AI enabled learning environment. The updates bring together education specific technology, skill building initiatives and trusted resources to help schools adopt AI responsibly.
A key announcement is Microsoft Elevate for Educators, a global program that connects educators with peer communities, free professional development and industry recognized credentials. The program supports AI skill building through self paced courses, live sessions and simulations available in multiple languages. It also introduces new credentials developed with education partners to help educators integrate AI into teaching.
Microsoft has also launched AI powered education tools. Teach, available in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, helps educators create lesson plans, quizzes and learning materials aligned to different student needs. Microsoft Learning Zone, designed for Copilot+ PCs, enables interactive and personalized learning activities using on device AI. For students, the Study and Learn Agent provides an AI based learning companion to support understanding, practice and independent study.
