Motorola Announces India Launch Details for the Edge 70 Smartphone

Motorola has confirmed the India launch date for the Edge 70, scheduled for December 15. The smartphone will be sold through Flipkart, the Motorola India website, and offline retail stores. Ahead of the launch, a dedicated microsite has revealed details about the device’s specifications and colour options. The Edge 70 will be available in three Pantone colourways: Bronze Green, Gadget Grey, and Lily Pad.

The company has stated that the handset will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and Dolby Atmos support. It will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and ship with Android 16-based Hello UI, with support for three years of OS updates and four years of security patches.

The device is confirmed to include a triple rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with Macro Vision, and an additional sensor, along with 4K video recording at up to 60fps. The front-facing camera will also feature a 50-megapixel sensor.

Other key features include a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 68W wired and 15W wireless charging, a Vapour Cooling Chamber, MIL-STD 810H certification, IP68+IP69 ratings, and a lightweight aluminium frame weighing around 159g.
