Nokia has signed a four-year contract extension with TNN, Denmark’s largest shared mobile network jointly owned by Norlys and Telenor, to continue as the sole supplier of 5G radio access networks and managed services. The modernization effort will deploy Nokia’s energy-efficient AirScale Radio Access Network (RAN) and MantaRay AI and automation solutions to enhance network performance, capacity, and user experience.
Under this agreement, Nokia will supply advanced AirScale equipment, including Habrok Massive MIMO radios and Pandion multi-band remote radio heads, alongside AI-ready AirScale basebands powered by ReefShark System-on-Chip technology. These solutions aim to expand 5G coverage and deliver superior connectivity to over three million subscribers across Denmark.
Nokia’s MantaRay SON and AutoPilot solutions will introduce autonomous network optimization, enabling real-time performance tuning, reduced operational costs, and enhanced reliability. The partnership underscores TNN’s commitment to building a robust, energy-efficient, and AI-driven network to support Denmark’s growing digital ecosystem.
Leaders from Norlys, Telenor, and Nokia emphasized that this collaboration strengthens innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable connectivity, preparing TNN for the AI-powered 5G future and beyond. The project is already underway and represents a key step in Denmark’s digital infrastructure evolution.
