Nokia has extended its long-term partnership with Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to upgrade and expand radio infrastructure across Vietnam, focusing on Hanoi, border provinces, and the southern region. The agreement aims to improve mobile coverage, increase network capacity, and support the country’s digital transformation.
Nokia will deploy its AirScale equipment portfolio, featuring energy-efficient ReefShark System-on-Chip technology. This will enhance connectivity, reduce latency, and lower power consumption while providing comprehensive network management to maintain performance and reliability. The upgrades are expected to improve access to telecommunications services for both people and businesses, supporting Vietnam’s economic growth and digital inclusion goals.
The extension also reflects Nokia’s broader commitment to Vietnam’s telecom sector, following the establishment of a manufacturing hub for AirScale equipment in 2024. This hub supplies both domestic and international markets, creating economic opportunities and strengthening regional supply chains.
