NVIDIA announced a partnership with Uber to develop and expand a global network of Level 4 autonomous vehicles using the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10 platform and DRIVE AV software. Uber plans to start scaling its autonomous fleet from 2027, targeting 100,000 vehicles supported by a joint AI data facility built on NVIDIA’s Cosmos platform.

The collaboration includes automakers like Stellantis, Lucid and Mercedes-Benz, which are developing Level 4-ready cars using NVIDIA’s architecture. Aurora, Volvo Autonomous Solutions and Waabi are also working on autonomous trucks using the same platform. NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10 provides a reference compute and sensor setup that helps vehicle makers build AI-ready cars with validated safety and sensor systems.

NVIDIA also introduced the Halos Certified Program, the first system to assess AI safety for vehicles and robots. The initiative will be supported by partners such as Bosch, Nuro and Wayve. With these developments, NVIDIA aims to create a foundation for safe and scalable autonomous mobility, extending across passenger transport and long-haul freight.
