Panasonic Automotive Systems Co. Ltd. has announced that it will change its company name and brand identity to Mobitera. The rebrand will take effect from April 1, 2027 and is intended to reflect the company’s focus on the future of mobility with an emphasis on safety comfort and sustainability.
The new name Mobitera combines the concept of mobility with words meaning path and illumination highlighting the company’s intention to shape future mobility experiences while keeping people at the center of its work. Alongside the name change the company has introduced a new logo and corporate color designed to represent the balance between people society and the environment.
This move follows Panasonic Automotive Systems’ strategic partnership with Apollo Group announced in December 2024. The partnership aims to strengthen software development capabilities particularly in the in vehicle cockpit space and to refine the overall business portfolio. The rebrand is positioned as a step aligned with these longer term goals.
As part of the transition the company’s domestic and international subsidiaries will also adopt the Mobitera name including operations in North America Europe Asia Pacific and India. OpenSynergy GmbH will continue to operate under its existing name. Panasonic Automotive Systems said its mission and core values will remain unchanged under the new brand.
