Panasonic Connect has released a case study detailing the deployment of its surface mount technology equipment at Dixon Technologies, one of India’s largest electronics manufacturing services providers. The project aimed to address high volume production challenges while maintaining consistent quality.
Dixon required faster mounting speeds, improved line efficiency and reduced changeover time for large scale mobile device manufacturing. Previous systems required around 60 minutes for product changeovers. With Panasonic Connect’s SMT solutions, changeover time was reduced to approximately 15 minutes, lowering downtime and operational costs.
The installed systems delivered improvements in throughput, mounting accuracy and equipment utilization. Software tools and predictive maintenance features further supported production stability and quality control.
Panasonic Connect also provides 24 by 7 technical support with engineers stationed on site to minimize disruption. The partnership supports Dixon’s expansion under the Make in India initiative and strengthens manufacturing capability through automation and reliable high speed mounting.
