Dr. Atul Gupta, Global Chief Medical Officer for Diagnosis and Treatment at Philips, will speak at TechBBQ 2025 in Copenhagen on how emerging technologies are reshaping healthcare. His session will explore how artificial intelligence, image-guided therapy, wearables, and augmented reality are being applied to improve diagnosis and treatment.
In a discussion with Tech.eu journalist Cate Lawrence, Dr. Gupta will present examples from Philips’ innovation programs and his clinical experience. These include AI-enabled ultrasound that assists midwives in remote areas, advanced imaging for minimally invasive cardiac and stroke procedures, and potential augmented reality tools for remote surgical collaboration.
The session will also address broader challenges such as aging populations, rising chronic illness, and shortages of healthcare professionals. Dr. Gupta will highlight how startups, cross-sector partnerships, and new talent can accelerate solutions and expand access to care.
TechBBQ 2025 takes place on August 27 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen under the theme Build to Matter.
