Royal Philips has officially opened its new global headquarters in Amsterdam, inaugurated by Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands. The event marks a milestone in Philips’ mission to improve global healthcare through innovation and collaboration. CEO Roy Jakobs emphasized the company’s commitment to developing technologies that enable better, more sustainable care for patients worldwide while addressing the growing challenges faced by healthcare systems, such as increasing demand and workforce shortages.

The new sustainable headquarters embodies Philips’ culture of transparency and collaboration. Renovated from a 1950s building, it integrates circular materials, energy-efficient systems, and green design principles, reflecting the company’s focus on purpose-driven innovation.

During the opening, Philips showcased key innovations including the BlueSeal MRI system, which drastically reduces helium use and broadens access to diagnostic imaging, and the Azurion platform, which supports minimally invasive image-guided therapies to improve patient outcomes.

Through strategic partnerships with hospitals, universities, and research institutions, Philips aims to strengthen healthcare systems globally and make advanced medical technologies more accessible. The new headquarters symbolizes Philips’ ongoing commitment to shaping the future of healthcare and improving lives around the world.
