Samsung Care is expanding its workforce development efforts through a new partnership with Appleton Technical Academy (ATECH). With demand for installation, maintenance and repair roles expected to grow over the next decade, Samsung is focusing on building a strong pipeline of skilled technicians who can support the rising complexity of connected homes and smart appliances.
Through this collaboration, Samsung has helped establish the Academy Bay lab at ATECH, a hands-on learning space powered by Samsung SmartThings. Students can explore smart appliances, home automation and energy-efficient technologies as part of the school’s Plugging Into the Future curriculum. The four-year pathway covers energy systems, smart home concepts, appliance repair and electrical systems, with advanced courses focused on real-world troubleshooting and career readiness. Students will also earn credits toward industry-recognized certifications or technical degrees.
Samsung Care continues to invest in technician training through programs such as the Samsung Technical Training Center and the Samsung Skills Competition. These initiatives aim to prepare the next generation of service professionals for evolving roles shaped by AI, IoT and connected systems.
