Feature Expands Health Tracking Capabilities Within Samsung Health

Samsung Electronics has introduced blood pressure monitoring for select Galaxy Watch users in the United States through the Samsung Health Monitor app.

The feature allows users to measure and track blood pressure directly from their smartwatch, adding to Samsung’s broader health and wellness ecosystem. It works by using onboard sensors to estimate systolic and diastolic blood pressure along with heart rate, with periodic calibration required using a traditional cuff device.

The update builds on existing health features such as ECG readings, irregular heart rhythm notifications, and sleep apnea detection. Together, these tools provide users with ongoing insights into their health and daily wellness patterns.

The functionality is available on supported Galaxy Watch devices, including the latest models, and integrates with Samsung Health to offer a more connected view of personal health data.
