Ray-Ban Meta Optics Expand Wearable AI with Vision Support and Software Updates

Meta has introduced its first prescription-optimized AI glasses in collaboration with Ray-Ban, expanding its wearable technology portfolio.

The new models, Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics and Scriber Optics (Gen 2), are designed to support a wide range of prescriptions while offering lightweight and adjustable designs for daily use. The glasses will be available for pre-order in the United States, with retail availability beginning in April.

Alongside hardware updates, Meta is introducing new AI-driven features such as hands-free nutrition tracking, WhatsApp message summaries, and recall capabilities. These features aim to enable users to interact with information and manage daily tasks using voice and visual inputs.

Additional updates include Neural Handwriting for message input, expanded navigation features, and new frame and lens options across Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta product lines.
