The 2025 edition of Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow program is highlighting creative solutions from students across India, including those from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and rural regions. The initiative encourages young people to apply technology and design thinking to real-world challenges, with the top 40 finalists gathering at IIT Delhi for workshops, mentorship and prototyping sessions.
This year’s projects reflect both social awareness and technical ingenuity. Fourteen-year-old Paras Tickoo developed AI-powered smart glasses that translate Indian Sign Language into speech for the deaf and mute community. From Andhra Pradesh, engineering student Shaik Khaja Baba created a device to detect early signs of silicosis, a lung disease common among mine workers. Aprajita, a design student from Jharkhand, introduced EaseAir, an ergonomic inhaler for asthma patients and the elderly designed to make breathing aids more accessible and dignified.
