Sharad Agarwal has been appointed as India Head at Tesla, marking a key step in the company’s expansion into India’s growing electric vehicle market. With over 23 years of experience in the automotive and luxury retail sectors, Sharad has built a strong track record in brand building, business transformation, and customer-focused leadership. His appointment reflects Tesla’s focus on strengthening its presence in India and supporting the country’s shift toward electric mobility.
Before joining Tesla, Sharad held leadership roles at Classic Legends (Jawa, Yezdi, BSA), Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., Audi India, Mahindra First Choice, and TVS Motor Company. As Head of Lamborghini India, he led a major business turnaround, achieving significant growth and expanding the brand’s reach across more than 60 cities. His experience at Audi India and Mahindra First Choice also includes developing strong sales networks and improving customer experience in the premium auto segment.
