Telia has expanded its partnership with Nokia to enhance its 5G networks across Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, and Lithuania. The collaboration includes deploying Nokia’s cloud-native 5G Standalone (SA) Core and its Radio Access Network (RAN) portfolio to improve network scalability, automation, and performance.

The new 5G SA architecture will allow Telia to offer more flexible and reliable connectivity services, supporting innovation for businesses and public sector clients. It will also improve network automation and enable advanced use cases that require high-speed, low-latency communication.

In Finland, the rollout of Nokia’s RAN solutions will expand coverage and capacity while reducing energy consumption. The upgrade is expected to enhance network efficiency, deliver faster speeds, and support Telia’s sustainability goals by contributing to lower carbon emissions and a greener digital future.
