Telstra and Dell Technologies have collaborated on an AI enabled telco cloud capability to support autonomous and resilient network operations.
The deployment uses Dell’s AI ready infrastructure and the Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite to create an integrated environment for network monitoring, analysis and automated response. The platform provides infrastructure telemetry and combines automation with agentic AI using Model Context Protocol and natural language interfaces.
Through a conversational interface, Site Reliability Engineers can interact with the AI agent to analyze issues and determine next best actions. The system can dynamically reallocate hardware resources and automatically migrate critical network applications during outages without manual intervention.
Unlike traditional rule based self healing, the AI driven approach enables context aware decision making and faster recovery. The deployment supports Telstra’s Autonomous Networks and Connected Future 2030 strategies within a multi vendor cloud architecture that runs both containerized and virtualized network functions.
The collaboration aims to reduce downtime, improve performance during peak demand and strengthen sovereign AI native telecom cloud infrastructure.
