Zebra Technologies has named Melissa Luff Loizides as its next Chief People Officer starting January 1, 2026. She will take over from Jeff Schmitz who steps down at the end of December and will support the integration of the Elo acquisition until mid 2026 before retiring.
Melissa joined Zebra in 2014 through Motorola Solutions Enterprise Business acquisition. She has held several roles in the People Team and most recently served as Vice President of Global Talent where she worked on workforce planning and helped strengthen the company’s purpose and values.
As Chief People Officer Melissa will lead the global People Team and guide key talent initiatives. She holds a Master’s degree in Management and a Bachelor’s degree in History from St Joseph’s University New York. She has also served on the board of FIRST Long Island which supports STEM programs.
