Nokia has been named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Communication Service Provider (CSP) 5G Core Network Infrastructure Solutions. This marks the fifth consecutive year Nokia has achieved Leader status. Gartner also positioned Nokia furthest on the Completeness of Vision axis, reflecting its strategic capabilities in 5G core solutions.
Nokia’s Core Networks portfolio is fully cloud-native and supports 2G to 5G and IMS cores in multi-cloud environments. It includes solutions for cloud packet core, subscriber data management, voice core, analytics, charging, policy, signaling, network exposure, cloud infrastructure, management, orchestration and related services. The platform allows service providers to launch new services quickly and securely while optimizing performance, operations and costs.
As of Q2 2025, Nokia had 125 5G Standalone Core operator customers and 54 live deployments, the highest in the industry. The recognition follows other analyst rankings, including Omdia, which ranked Nokia’s core portfolio #1 for competitiveness, and Téral Research, which noted Nokia commands 33% of the global commercial 5G SA footprint.
