Royal Philips , a global leader in health technology, has announced a national partnership in the U.S. with Optum Healthcare to expand access to advanced cardiac monitoring solutions. The agreement integrates Philips’ Mobile Cardiac Telemetry and Extended Holter into Optum’s network, providing services to 3.4 million members across 22 states. This collaboration aims to enable earlier detection of cardiac conditions, timely intervention, and better coordination of care.
By streamlining referrals and improving diagnostic insights, the partnership reduces delays in specialist access and enhances clinical decision-making. Philips’ user-friendly devices, such as ePatch wearables, also support higher patient compliance, allowing individuals to maintain daily routines while being continuously monitored. For providers, this ensures smoother patient journeys from initial consultation through post-discharge, while payers benefit from more efficient, value-based care models.
Julia Strandberg, Chief Business Leader for Connected Care at Philips, emphasized that being a preferred in-network provider marks an important step in bringing Philips’ cardiac ambulatory monitoring services to more patients. The partnership supports primary care physicians and cardiologists with actionable data, enabling stronger collaboration across care teams and ultimately improving outcomes for patients with chronic cardiac conditions.
