LG Display Next Generation OLED Technologies Focus on AI Automotive and Gaming Displays
LG Display unveiled its next generation OLED technologies at SID Display Week 2026 under the theme “OLED Evolution for the AI Era.”
The company introduced third generation Tandem OLED technology, featuring 18% lower power consumption and more than double the lifespan of the previous generation. Initially designed for automotive use, the panel delivers up to 1,200 nits brightness and over 15,000 hours of operation without degradation.
LG Display also showcased OLED solutions for gaming, IT devices and physical AI applications such as humanoid robots. Gaming highlights included a 27 inch OLED panel with a 720Hz refresh rate and a 39 inch curved 5K2K OLED display.
For laptops, the company presented a 16 inch Tandem OLED panel designed for AI PCs, offering improved efficiency and up to 2.3 additional hours of battery life.
Automotive concepts included a 57 inch pillar to pillar display and a retractable 32 inch Slidable OLED designed for software defined vehicles.
