Whirlpool Corporation is hiring a Senior Engineer for its Laundry Lab in Tamil Nadu. The person in this role will plan, perform, and analyze product tests while maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute daily product testing as per approved standards.
- Analyze test data and share reports with the lab supervisor and other stakeholders.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance and workplace safety.
- Handle documentation for audits like ISO 17025, BIS, and CTF.
- Work with suppliers for lab materials and equipment development.
- Ensure 5S practices are followed in the lab.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new developments and testing methods.
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.
- 3–6 years of experience in testing or validation within a lab or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation fundamentals, controls, and electrical systems.
- Familiar with LabVIEW, Arduino, and data acquisition systems.
- Understanding of IEC, IS, EN, and ISO appliance standards.
- Working knowledge of NABL standards and audit processes.
- Good communication skills in English and ability to coordinate with teams and suppliers.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in FMEA and risk identification.
- Skilled in Google tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Analytical problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working independently with lab systems.
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration and reporting skills.
