Samsung has partnered with University of Madras to launch Samsung Innovation Campus in Tamil Nadu. The initiative focuses on building skills in artificial intelligence, internet of things, big data and coding and programming.

Tamil Nadu is a key focus area in 2026, with plans to train 5,000 students during the year. This represents about one quarter of the national target. In the first phase, 500 students from the University of Madras will be trained, followed by 1,500 students from its affiliated colleges.

Samsung Innovation Campus now operates across 10 states and aims to train 20,000 students nationwide in 2025, marking a significant expansion compared to the previous year. Since its launch in India in 2022, the programme has trained 6,500 students by 2024 and is expected to reach a total of 26,500 students by 2025.

The programme is delivered in partnership with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India under the National Skill Development Corporation. It also includes soft skills training and placement support. Women currently account for 44 percent of participants.
